oneagent rearchitecture changes for beanstalk

The previous instructions for installing Oneagent for AWS Beanstalk required us to sleep for a predefined value (300 seconds) which was a guestimate about how long it would take at maximum for the Oneagent to install.

With the changes in Oneagent v1.173 does any of this change or do we still have to add a 5 minute wait on to each deployment to hope that the Oneagent install completes? Was there a fix to this need that was included in this rearchitecture? Fingers crossed.

Hi Kevin,

I have good news, the rearchitectured Windows OneAgent installer now properly executes in a blocking manner until the installation completes. That means you no longer need to add "magic wait" to ensure that the installation finished.

As for this particular help page, we will make sure that it is updated to reflect current state.

Regards,
Tomasz
