Does Dynatrace plugin requires Active Gate to work?

There is no customer environment where I can experiment this, nor can I test it in demo site.

Anyone has any answer?

Also, if the answer is yes, it doesn't matter what type of Active Gate it is right?

Hi,
It's a bit more complicated 🙂

ActiveGate Dynatrace plugins require a private Active Gate tied to one specific tenant. Multi-tenant gateways are not supported at the current moment; neither are public gateways.

Local plugins run together with OSAgent on every machine and as such they don't need an AG.

Let me know if you need more information.

Hi Bartosz,

This is what I understand, please correct me if I am wrong:

Also, appreciate if you could answer my two question down the table there.

Warm Regards,

Wai Keat

@Wai Keat C., just one note. ActiveGate plugins are not released yet. The Beta is about to start next month. They will give a capability to retrieve data from remote technologies that expose an interface. This approach is particularly useful for deployments where you can't install OneAgent.
