Extension Framework 1.0 deprecated : how to check whether an extension produces metrics ?

Hi there.

Not a new news 🙂

This extension is based on Extension Framework 1.0 that is already deprecated and will be removed in March 2025. Please switch to Extension Framework 2.0 by exploring the benefits of the new Connection Pools: WebSphere Liberty extension for advanced monitoring and an improved user experience.

If you haven't already, consider checking your current setup and migrate for added advantages.

ExempleWebSphere Liberty Connection Pools Version: 1.000Type: JMX extensionId: dynatrace.jmx.liberty.connectionpool

Need : check whether a deprecated extensions produce actual live metrics.

Question : How to check whether we have metrics produced by this extension ?

I see

  • Env > Consumption > Davis data units > Metrics Metric consumption details
  • Env > Data Explorer
  • Env > Data Explorer > Advanced search

yet

  • I don't see how to ask "give me all metrics procuded by extension id dynatrace.jmx.liberty.connectionpool".

I did text search on substring

  • on (for example) "connectionpool". It yields many metrics... Yet not clear whether it belongs to deprecated extension Id: dynatrace.jmx.liberty.connectionpool.

Question : how to know the metrics keys produced by an extension ? Can I downlod the extension so I look at the code ? Any online documentation ?

Question : BTW, can I deactivate / remove / cleanup such a deprecated EF1.0 extension once I know it is of no use anymore for us ?
