I would like to know if anyone has already managed or participated in any Dynatrace integration with BMCremedy to share the details?
How do I have to create Firewall or proxy rules?
Webhook?
API?
Hi
yes it is something we have done in the past via a webhook (Standard functionality on the user interface) or a custom extension (when data transformations were required).
The webhook works fine when using basic authentication for instance and no data transformation is required.
For more complex integrations, a custom extension pulling the data via the problem API would be required.
Depending on the location of your Dynatrace environment and Remedy backend, firewall changes/proxy settings might be required.
my remedy address has to be public correct?
Not if you route it via a middleware on an activegate or a proxy. Otherwise the Dynatrace cluster needs to see the Remedy endpoint, which means that it needs to be public if you're on Dynatrace SaaS.
Have you considered using an external tool to handle the integration?
