Adding multiple Dynatrace servers to the CAS

If the CAS has potentially 2 Dynatrace AppMon servers that it may be drilling down into. Is this a problem to add to different Dynatrace AppMon servers? Will DC RUM know which Dynatrace AppMon server to drill down into or will it just give you both options?

So the way the "drilldown" works is that after the dynaTrace AppMon servers are added as a data source to the CAS, you will enable DCRUM integration on the dynaTrace AppMon Servers under the individual System Profiles. If there is a Web Server Agent instrumented it will place a tag that in the header that DCRUM will search for to allow drilldown to PurePaths. In doing so, when you drilldown in DCRUM, it will go to the correct PurePath, no matter which AppMon Server it resides on.

many thanks for the response Jacob. Much appreciated

No problem, also be aware that when enabling the DT AppMon Server as a CAS source, the CAS will begin to process all AppMon/UEM data for all System Profiles, regardless of what System Profiles you have configured to connect to AMD's on the DT Server. This can cause large spike in data input and in some environments can cause performance issues. To circumvent this, in the RUM Console, open the CAS Configuration and:

Data Sources > AppMon Server > Actions > Configure Data Sources > Select "Use selected Application Monitoring System Profiles as Data Sources: "

This should limit data imported to the CAS and save some space in the DB.
