For a new DCRUM installation, we need to know what is the amount of traffic supported to go between AMD and CAS.
How many network interfaces is needed for CAS? If the amount of traffic to be processed is very large it is needed more network interfaces in CAS?
The traffic between the CAS and the AMD is in relation to the traffic you put into the AMD. If you then configure the traffic to be analyzed in detail, the volume between the AMD and the CAS will increase but only slightly.
And - NO, you will not need multiple interfaces on the CAS. All packet processing is done on the AMD and only the results are sent to the CAS and that is normally done once every 5 minutes.
Hi @ulf thornander,
Would there be any benchmark/docs on minimum and maximum amount of traffic? I think my customer is asking a similar question as the AMD and the CAS are in different zones and they are afraid that this setup might put some unnecessary stress on the firewall when high loads are shuttled through.
