Any way to break down Microsoft AX operations further in DCRUM?

Hello,

I have a couple of questions regarding monitoring AX with DCRUM.

1. Is there anyway to break down the operations further then simply "Dynamics AX" for RPC or "http://ax_report_server/reportexecution.asmx" for the report server?

2. If I access AX from my local machine and execute a couple of reports, I can see 1 slow operation out of 20 operations (All reportexecution.asmx). But, I can't tell which operation time is for which report.

Thanks as always for the help,

Tom

Hi Tom,

I am not too familiar with Microsoft AX but if the report server uses HTTP you should be able to extract additional information from each request. If the report name or identifier is stored in the headers or payload you can configure URL parameters to capture that information. Using URL parameters, the information extracted will be appended to the operation name. Operations will looks like "http://ax_report_server/reportexecution.asmx?parameter.

Additional information can be found here and here.
