Cannot Connect to RUM Console. Users will be able to log in offline for a limited time since last login.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Some logs:

E ADM 17-11-29 16:28:16.787 Cannot authenticate user credentials. Error connecting to RUM Console at https://Server:4183/cxf/rest/security/v1/authenticate: javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.
W ADM 17-11-29 16:28:16.816 User credentials authenticated offline.

I would open a ticket for them to take a look at this issue.

Hi Joseph,

Based on that exception it looks like the CAS is not able to connect to the console to authenticate users. I would check to see if your console is running and if the CAS can reach it. If the console is accessible I would look at the console logs and if nothing stands out I would open a support ticket as Kyle suggested.

Is this issue resolved? If yes then please let us know resolution because we are also facing same issue in DCRUM 2017.
