What is the meaning of Client/3rd party in the slow operations?

The way I understand it is that these are calls which are made to sites/servers outside of your site. For example if you have a link on your page which makes a call to an RSS feed or a weather site - those will show up as third party.

Just to clarify it a bit - the time spent by the browser loading these 3rd-party elements will show up as the client/3rd-party time. URLs of those elements won't be reported by DC RUM.

It is also possible that the client doesn't load anything, but processes the page and then automatically sends further requests, which DC RUM categorizes as elements of the same page. Possible with heavy, content-rich pages, especially those that have to download lots of javascript libraries when application launches and initiate all these.

Waterfall charts available from ADS two clicks down from the quoted report would explain it all graphically.
