Difference between "Page load/operation time threshold" and "Operation load time threshold" on AMD

Hi all,

On the AMD configuration settings, there are two metrics which sound similar:

  • Global -> General -> Page load/operation time threshold = 8 sec
  • Global -> Operations -> Operation load time threshold = 0.5 sec

From my understanding the first one is the default threshold for labelling an operation as either fast or slow. Then, what is the second one for? Can someone offer more context?

Thanks

Radu

Hi Radu,

the "operation load time threshold" just applies to the following analyzers:

Operation load time threshold

The number of seconds after which an operation is considered “slow”. You can set this value with a precision of one ten-thousandth of a second.

Default: 0.5000 seconds.

The threshold is used by following analyzers:

  • IBM over MQ
  • Jolt
  • MS Exchange
  • Oracle Forms over HTTP
  • Oracle Forms over HTTPS
  • Oracle Forms over SSL
  • Oracle Forms over TCP
  • SOAP over HTTP
  • SOAP over HTTPS
  • XML
  • XML over HTTP
  • XML over HTTPS
  • XML over MQ

(assuming you're using 12.4)

Hope that helps.
