Dear All, @Adam Piotrowicz @Kris Ziemianowicz @Sebastian K. @Erik S.

Is there a way to send the Event type e.g. Alert finished or Alert started in the notification message?

Regards,

Babar

The only available placeholder in problem notification is {state}. There you have information if problem is open close or merged. Is it enough for you?

Sebastian

Hello @sebastian k.

Thank you for your answer. Yes I am looking for almost the similar to inform the 3rd party tool that Alert/Incident has been closed.

Where is the {state} placeholder is available?

I could not find under:

  • Define a notification message that will be sent to the selected recipients.
  • Define an e-mail message subject.

Below is the product information.

Product name: RUM Console
Version: 2017 May SP5
Build: 17.0.5.242

Regards,

Babar

Sorry my bad 🙂 this was NAM question 🙂 I thought it was Dynatrace

Hello @sebastian k.
No Worries 🙂

Babar

You can achieve that using {eventType} placeholder.

Actually the default message generated by the console has this <Event type> placeholder defined.

Alert <Alert name> has been <Event type> at <Last sample start timestamp> on NAM Server...

Hello @Robert G.

Do you mean this option is available in the NAM Server but not in the Build: 17.0.5.242?

Regards,

Babar

Yes, I know it is possible in NAM 2018. As far as I know it is not possible in CAS 2017

Hello @Robert G.

Thank you for the confirmation.

Babar
