Exclude a SOAP operation

Hi,

We are monitoring several SOAP and XML over HTTP software services.

Some of these have a "PING" or healthcheck operation that runs into the millions of operations per day.

How do I configure DCRUM to ignore these specific operations?

Hi Mick,

you can add an "excluded URL" setting in your Software Service manual settings. Just go to the RUM Console and edit Your actual Software Service in Order to specify which operation exclude from monitoring by adding pattern or regex rules to identify the operation. You'll find useful info about that in the official documentation by searching For "URL monitoring".

Hope it helps. If you need help about the configuration steps don't hesitate to ask.

Ciao, Raffaele

Hi Raffaele,

I don't see the option you mention. Perhaps this doesn't apply to SOAP analyzer.

Maybe using Custom name of operation could help?

Hi Mick,

In 12.4.6, SOAP analyzer is being analyzed the same way as the HTTP analyzer; so that will give you the flexibility to exclude specific operations.

Harshal.
