Getting data directly from DCRUM/NAM DB into Grafana

Hello!

Have anyone tryed to get metrics directly from DCRUM/NAM DB?

We are thinking about populating data to some Grafana widgets.

Are there Database schema published or anything related documented?

Thanks!

Regards,

Igor

Hi Igor,

I would look at using the Rest Interface to get this done. If your looking for some help on how these are structured https://github.com/barrebre/RESTfulDC is a great tool to get you a REST call through menus that feel like a DMI interface.

Best,

Kyle

BTW, documentation of the REST API can be found here: https://www.dynatrace.com/support/doc/nam/shortlink/id-using-rest-based-web-services

Thank you gents! We started to explore REST API. It seams to provide all required and well documented.

One comment: this REST API enables to retrieve any data available for DMI reports. In many cases it will go to DB for data. Please take a look at the partner export API we delivered for integration with 3rd party services, such as Splunk or Elastic. This one only uses data cached in memory - so you can be sure you will never overload your DB and reporting server. However, not all data is available there, only those that are available in memory cache.
