My customers has configured data access control on application in the CAS.
Most users are reporting power users with filters on the application they support.
However, they cant see the OOTB reports (e.g. Alerts in Reports>Explore) even when that report is shared with the group Everyone.
Is it because the application dimension is not in the Alert data view? What would be a workaround to give access to that data view, keeping our current data control access settings?

Yes, Alerts data view is an old solution that does not support "named" dimensions, and hence does not work with data access control. That is why in the upcoming release we will deliver (it's already implemented) a new data view for alerts where each dimensions used in the alert definition is exposed as a proper data view dimension, hence enabling reports using this new data view to work correctly with access control.
