Has anyone migrated a Enterprise Synthetic Manager Console to a new host?

Hi All,

Has anyone migrated a Enterprise Synthetic Manager Console
to a new host? I’m migrating ours here at BNSF (IBM) to a new host and was just
wondering if anyone had any details or experience with this.

Thanks for your post, Martin. You can install a remote Console; and you can install it on a new host whenever you need to do so.

Do you really mean that you want to install the Agent Manager on a new host? There are several approaches to doing this, depending on

  • the number of Agents and Agent Managers involved
  • whether you have a local or a remote database
  • the version of the product

If you are moving the Agent Manager, you may want to open a support ticket.

I am looking to install the agent manager on a new host. There is only one agent manager and 5 agents involved. The database is remote and the version of the tool is 12.3.6

Hi. We can assist you with that if you open a support ticket. However, you will need to upgrade since 12.3 is no longer supported as of July 1st 2017.

Please refer to the 12.3 release end of support announcement for more details.

You will need to upgrade to the current release which is 12.5; please refer to 12.5 release notes.

Thanks!

I upgraded to 12.5 but when trying to connect to the manager via console I am getting a 404 error when entering the RUM Console credentials. Not sure why

Excellent. Glad that you have upgraded. Please open a support ticket. You may want to verify that you entered the URL correctly and that you are using https; http will be supported in service pack 1.

Thanks!
