How to create an alert for the loss of contact with a probe

Hi,

one of the AMD is often down and need to be restarted. Until the bug is not fixed, I need to detect the loss of contact as fast as possible. So, how can I program an alert and automatically send email to do this ?

Fabian,

The answer is LOW_OPER_4_SYS_MOD alarm that can alert you is any of http://CAS/modulestatus modules turns red. Then you can filter out in alarm config only modules that concerns connections with the AMD ...

Hi,

TY.

But the alarm is already set up and didn't raised for this cause.

May be because of our config with a MasterCAS ? (Mastercas/CAS/AMD)

Alarm is set up on all devices (MasterCAS and CAS) ...

Please share

\config\alarms-custom.xml

file from both CASes.

Hello Fabian,

You can configure this user define alert, with sws1,.., swsN only seen by this AMD. If all sws of the amd = 0 you send an alert.

JLL

Why not ... lets try it ...

There is no sws only on one probe.

What about the "network link" Alert Type and then add a filter on "Link name" ?

Does "link name" have the same meaning than in "DMI" ?
