Hello,

I am trying to find a way to normalize UserNames that is originating on Thin Clients. I am using TCAM agents and the User Names are coming back as:

Domain/User

Domain.com/User

I just want the User portion to be displayed. Right now, I have to use an pre * to find a user.

Thanks for any help, very much appreciated.

Tom

Hi

I just got the following explanation some time ago for Usernames formated like "Domain\User".

The CAS can parse Usernames in 2 pieces using a seperator. One of the pieces will be in the Dimension "User name" the other in "Client Group". We tried this with 12.4 and 2017 - not sure if it is working with NAM 2018 as well. You need to set the following options in the advanced properties editor:

MAP_IPUserForce-map=usergroupmap.properties
MAP_CLASS_UserGroup-map=adlex.rtm.repository.GroupMSMap
MAP_CLASS_IPUserForce-map=adlex.rtm.repository.ClientForceRegexMap
ClientGroupMapLeaveIfNotMatches=1
ClientGroupMapLeaveIsGroupFirst=1
ClientGroupMapRegex= (.+)\\(.+)

This will transform Usernames from Domain Prefix if you have a Backslash \ as a separator.
