Ignore Sequence Transactions that are Aborted and Abandoned

Hello All,

I have a customer who did not understand the Health Index calculated for the Sequence Transactions. For example they see on the Application Health Status a popup window that says:

80% Health Index

  • 8 out 100 fast transactions
  • 1 out of 100 slow transactions
  • 1 out of 100 failures

First what is noticed is that not all transactions are mapped to either fast/slow/failure, there are 90 transactions not mentioned. These are the ones DCRUM considers as aborted. They have no influence on the Health Index and Availability.

Second Health index is 80%, this is calculated by the following formula

8 fast transactions / (sum of fast 8, 1 slow 1 and failure 1)

The customer is happy that the aborted transactions are not counted. However they would also like the failed transactions be ignored in the Health index.

The question is there a setting, where we can say ignore both the -2 Transaction Abandoned -3 Transaction Aborted?

Kind regards,

Mark

Hi Mark

I’m not
sure I follow the logic here. Would that not defeat the point of the sequence
transaction?

As far
as I know you can’t exclude them from the HI calculation. The only thing you
could try is to filter those ones out using DMI by applying !-= Transaction
status dimension
