Is Unified HTTP analytics possible on classic AMD

Hi,

I read that on high speed AMD, unified HTTP analytics enables multiples decodes on one port.

Is it possible to enable this functionality on a classic AMD (12.4.5)?

We currently have one application which uses the same port for http and soap over http.

Regards,

Gaël

No, unfortunately SOAP and HTTP on one port is possible only on High Speed AMD. For reference, see a classic AMD configuration screen in the 12.4.5 RUM Console.

Thanks for your anwser.

I see that it's not directly possible, is there no way to patch the classic AMD/Console to enable this feature, or is it planned to include it in the classic AMD in a future SP?

Since it would require a significant redesign of the decode, there are no plans to implement it for AMD Classic. However it's still possible to support such scenario to some extent using the plain HTTP decode in AMD Classic. While there is no dedicated XML/SOAP support, in many cases SOAP operation names can be extracted using a combination of user defined URLs and page name data mining rules. It is not as clean and flexible as built in SOAP support in AMD HS, but may be used as a workaround.

Thanks for your answer.
I've got no further question about this.
