No Slow Operation despite the fact that application performance is 85% only

As shown in this screenshot, the citrix tier software service has its performance of 85% but yet I see the slow operation is flat zero. Any idea why? Does the algorithm/definition or calculation of what is 'slow' in citrix different than others?


Algorithm for application performance for Citrix is based on other metrics than "Slow operations".

Exactly as Krzysztof P said - for Citrix ICA we can't use just plain operations to determine slowness. This is because Citrix ICA protocol is generally asynchronous: there are two independent event streams flowing from client to server (mouse, keyboard) and to server to client (screen updates).

Only at the connection an published application start there are single operations of the screen and application launch. We report them separately, you can see them in Citrix Explorer report, which is tailored to analyze Citrix, as opposed to the general-purpose Operations report.

To be able to explain numbers behind Application Performance for Citrix you need to make new DMI report and add:

  • Software Service,
  • Client IP address,
  • Server IP address,
  • make sure the time range = 5 minutes.

If the time range is > 5 minutes you have to add Time.

If the discrepancy is still visible we have to add User name.
