Purging database takes forever (or not taking effect I should say)

I go to admin console, and clicked on purge database, but it never happen though. Anyone experience this before?

The screenshot below as shown below already happen for like a week, SEEMS Like it would take forever

Or is there any other way to purge database? Maybe I can give it a try.

Yes, there is another way.

Look for runServer.bat file on the CAS server and run it with -S switch.

And if you want to troubleshoot what has happened when initiated from GUI, then we need to see server.log.

Purging from admin console has always worked for me. Curious it did not work for you.

As Adam stated - it would be good to look at the server.log file and analyze what happened.
