Sequence Transaction with regular Expression

thun

I'm trying to create some sequence transactions for a http service. there is one transaction that can start from mulitple URLs which only differs in a slightly different parameter like:

URI 1a: http://hostname.com/start.htm?Para1=ABC

URI 1b: http://hostname.com/start.htm?Para1=ABD

I tried to create a sequence transaction with a starting point defined like:

regex:hostname.com/start.htm?Para1=AB*

But this is never matched. In the documentation

https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/DCRUM124/Adding+transactions+for+a+range+of+AMDs it is described that we can use * in a HTTP transaction for saying "any number of any character". Did anyone tried this with success?

Hi Friederike

But either you use regex or not.

try something like

regex:hostname\.com\/start\.htm\?Para1=AB.

or

hostname.com/start.htm?Para1=AB*

Thanks Janusz, didn't noticed that there is a difference between regex usage an just "masking"
