Temporarily use POC license while using product license.

Our customers purchase DCRUM 2017 license and use it.

It is necessary to visualize the service of SSL with DCRUM. However, since I have not purchased an SSL license, I'd like to temporarily acquire a POC license and test SSL communication with DCRUM.

Work step

 1. Product license

 2. Switch to POC license, Visualize SSL communication with DCRUM

 3. Return to product license

I want to know the actual operation and points to watch out for.

Hi, do you actually want to present the SSL decode (and show https URL after SSL decryption) for some web apps in customer environment, or do you want to enable "SSL communication" between the DC RUM components (CAS, AMD, RUM Console)? If the later you don't need the license. If you want to demonstrate SSL decode, you'd need a POC license with SSL decode . Please just be aware that the decode has some limitations - i.e cannot decipher Diffie-Hellman cipher suites or TLS 1.3. Please see to the SSL Monitoring and Decryption FAQ page for more details.

  1. To obtain a POC license with SSL decode, please place a formal license request here
  2. If you currently use DLM for license management, you need to save a copy of the current license*.xml file and simply replace it in DLM with the POC license.
  3. If the customer currently has an eServices license (new licensing model) then the current license must be first de-activated for the AMD (save activation & deactivation tokens) and the new license must be loaded then and activated.
