Url Monitoring with Static Frame

Experience with static frame

This option is useful when the automatic frame consolidation doesn’t work, and each component is collected by DCRUM as a complete operation.

In this case, there are a lot of operations with only 1 hit by operation and the operation time is very optimistic

(image 1 : URL monitoring without static Frame)

After configuring the static frame, the page is complete with 8 hits

(image 2 : URL monitoring with static Frame )

Configuration of the static frame

The operation starts for each URL Monitoring,

all the other components are attached to the operation

              the operation is finished if

  • The time between 2 components is more than 3 seconds (default parameter of the hit session  timeout)

  • Or if the following component is an operation configured in the URL Monitoring.

Example of URL Monitoring list with static frame option configured:

!! Don’t apply any global configuration in the URL Monitoring like: (http://.*) - it disable the static frame configuration for all the other URL monitoring…

Limit of the static frame option

It’s working better when the operation starts with the same component, and if the « entry point » component is not a component inside an operation too.

If a component is an entry point component of the operation and is also a component inside the operation, there will be 2 operations instead of 1 operation.

The operation starts for each URL Monitoring,

all the other components are attached to the operation

              the operation is finished if

  • The time between 2 components is more than 3 seconds (default parameter of the hit session  timeout)

  • Or if the following component is an operation configured in the URL Monitoring.
