one of my customer wouldn't like to report user names in CAS reports because of privacy concerns.
We haven't created any user detection rules in the user defined software services (most of them HTTP or basic enterprise services like LDAP, SMB,...)
We have choosen the ISP Extended Mode for IP aggregation but if a user has a identifier (like a user name) he will be reported in this mode.
The SMB analyzer is reporting user names per default - is there a way to disable this?
Hi, there is no configuration option to disable username recognition in SMB decode, but you can consider to workaround this on CAS by providing client IP range(s) for which CAS would ignore user names and use client IP as username instead. The property is called RtmJob.clientToIgnoreName and can be found in Advanced Properties Editor in Admin console
