Can someone on this forum provide me with a document which explains how work's the VPN monitoring with DCRUM and the maximum scope that we can deliver with this feature, instead of using another provider application to monitor this type of connections?!
First of all, if you refer to the VPN analysis module of DC RUM - that's discontinued, so no documentation will be provided on that.
In general (outside of the VPN analysis module), DC RUM can monitor network quality of any VPN links, using the usual network performance and traffic statistics measurements. Identification of the client will be limited to its IP address and location (ISP if it's on the Internet), server will be the VPN gateway at the enterprise. We will know overall load at the gateway and performance of internal applications returned to the gateway. We will know how much traffic that goes through the Gateway is the legitimate corporate traffic and how much of it goes back to the Internet, though we won't report on names of users who originate this traffic.
Summarizing, there will be a considerable value delivered by DC RUM, but it is not a primary target for our solution. It may be an add-on to the AANPM project, but not its core.
