Verify quality of network traffic unknown protocols

In the RUM Console on Verify Quality of Monitored Traffic in the column Application Protocol I get Unknown TCP and Unknown UDP only. I know it is HTTP and SSL traffic, I even have some HTTP Software Services that are configured on there and are picking up operations as usual.

Why would the AMD mark these protocols in the report as unknown? Is that an issue?

Thanks for any hints.

Could you please share /usr/adlex/config/protocols.xml and /usr/adlex/config/pktmatchconfig.xml from the AMD(s)?

I understand that HTTP SSes correctly report operations?

Are you sure that 443 port is HTTPS traffic?

Sure, you can find them attached here protocols.txt, pktmatchconfig.txt

Yes, HTTP SS report operations.

I tried to configure an HTTP SS on those two IPs with port 443 but it is not reporting any operations. I am pretty sure this is SSL communication.

Sorry for the late response.

Two things:

  • CBA service on the AMD should translate ports to numbers and send it to RUM Console - we need to in investigate it. Please log a support ticket with
  • Configuring SSL SSes requires not only specifying IP:port but also having private SSL keys. Otherwise we're unable to decrypt the traffic and get the operations. See SSL Monitoring.
