hello,

I need to calculat the number of raw sessions by application.

The doc (DCRUM_CapacityPlanningUserGuide)  gives the formule for the raw session calculation :
* Row : Application
* Row : Server IP adress
* Row : Server Port TCP
* Row : Operation
* Row : User Name
* Row : Client IP adress
* Row : link name
* Row : OS Name
* Row : Browser Name

But the result is not the correct, I can't find with a DMI report the same value that the raw session of the system status report.

1) How is calculated the raw session exactly in the system status ?

2) Is it possible to calculat it with a DMI ?

3) How can we calculat the raw session by application?

Regards

Hi Jean-Louis,

The system status calculates raw sessions using the following query: select COUNT(*) from RTMSESSION.

You could use the followinf SQL script that will show what Software Services, Servers, URLs and Sites have the most sessions occupied.

Result should be similar to attached image.

select top 10 (select name from rtmapplications where row_id = appl) as "Software Service",count(*) as "Number of sessions" from rtmsession with (NOLOCK) group by appl order by count(*) desc

select top 10 (select url from rtmurl where row_id = url_id) as "Operation name",count(*) as "Number of sessions" from rtmsession with (NOLOCK) group by url_id order by count(*) desc

select top 10 (select dns_name from rtmserver where row_id = svr_id) as "Server DNS name",count(*) as "Number of sessions" from rtmsession with (NOLOCK) group by svr_id order by count(*) desc
