I have a question on software service-based tier; the scenario is this:
I have a software service to monitor all http traffic from a list of server IP, named mySS
The mySS gets FrontEnd urls of 3 applciations, named App1, App2, App3
When I configure the FE tier for mySS, I have 2 choices:
1. create only one software service-based tier:
MySS_FE_TIER configured with ss = mySS; label = *
2. create 3 software service-based tier:
MyApp1_FE_TIER configured with ss = mySS; label = http://company.com/myApp1*
MyApp2_FE_TIER configured with ss = mySS; label = http://company.com/myApp2*
MyApp3_FE_TIER configured with ss = mySS; label = http://company.com/myApp3*
What is the best choice? And what are the differences of reporting in AHS using the first or the second coihce?
Thanks in advance

The idea behind tier setup is that you represent logical tiers in your environment. You would only split them if they perform different functions. In your example you only need to create one tier as they are all front end tiers for you applications.
The separation between the tree apps should then be done at the Application level.
Hope this makes sense.
