Can Security Gateway be installed on Microsoft Hyper-V?

Our standard is Microsoft Hyper-V for virtualized servers. We will be trying to connect into SaaS environment.

Is Windows or Linux server preferred?

Gateways for Windows and Linux are identical. It's up to your preference which OS you want to use. Hyper-V is ok, but as far as I know Dynatrace does not support monitoring of Hyper-V as it does for VMware.
