With is the license control in the Dynatrace Managed, imagine that I have a 16GB RAM machine and after a maintenance hears the memory increase, how will it be signaled the dependence of more licenses? And in the opposite case, is an alert also issued?

Once your host memory is increased, Dynatrace updates your license consumption. There are no notifications about the change. You will be notified if you reached the limit of your licenses or you start incurring overages.

Hi Radoslaw,

Where/how should we be notified? We recently had a case where a gigantic amount of RAM was allocated to one server due to troubleshooting, and that ate up all the HU licenses. After some other servers were then restarted, those were left in "unmonitored" state because of that one server taking all host units as soon as they were freed up. We were not notified in any way, all of this happened silently. My mail address is under both "Notifications recipients" and "Emergency notifications recipients" under CMC settings.

That's a valid point.

Dynatrace will now alert you when you are running close to the allotted amount of Host units/Dem units ETC.

Is there anyway to create a hard cap on oneagent consumption, by mgmt zone, for example?
