Hi Team,
I am looking to see if Dyna trace is good solution for Network Monitoring, especially with Net flow Traffic. I am looking to see all the possibilities when it comes to Network monitoring and also what are the limitations.
Thanks,
Tarun

@TarunPamu You can forward the Netflow data to Dynatrace using the open telemetry collector, have a look at the below . This was introduced quite recently

https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib/tree/main/receiver/netflowreceiver
There is also an option to use Gigamon for Netflow.

Thank you @p_devulapalli , this is good information to start with.

@TarunPamu Just to add to this, I wouldn't compare Dynatrace against a traditional network monitoring solution , it can do a fair bit of network monitoring but not as good as a traditional network monitoring solution . So, how good Dynatrace would be for network monitoring comes down to your requirements and level of monitoring you are after .
Dynatrace can monitor and collected data via SNMP but you would hit some limitations when it comes to polling frequency and network topology visualization as an example.
Obviously it still lacks the capabilities to do any network configuration captures and storage like you would expected from a network monitoring solution.
