How to Start Dynatrace OneAgent on AIX Server

Hi As per the procedure mentioned on Dynatrace website we extracted the ZIP file for one agent for aix But we are not sure how to start the agent .Even in /etc/rc.d directory we do not see oneagent executable mentioned in one of dynatrace document , Please help

Currently the AIX Agent is no full system agent like for windows/linux, so there is no start/stop script.

You have to manually instrument your application with the agent, like mentioned at the bottom of the installation documentation.

Hi Prashant,

what Patrick wrote is partially true. For your deployment method there are no scripts available under /etc/rc.d to start the agent, this is because is it not a full-stack installation and these are not needed. As Patrick said, you need to manually instrument your application.

Full-stack agent (including installer similar to the one for Linuxes) is currently in EAP phase, the section from help concerning starting the agent, that you have mentioned, refers to this full-stack approach. If you are interested in the full-stack EAP please contact your sales representative.
