Message size of the Client-side

What is the message size of client-side metadata (Bytes or Kilobytes)?

I believe this is definitely in bytes when looking at values in one of our environments. But units should be added for exactness.

Probably a question for a Dynatrace PM or developers. But seeing the values I hardly can think of other units than bytes.
