Basically most of the metrics you see around performance and such by having OneAgents on the calling hosts. If you put a OneAgent on the DB server itself you'll get more OS level monitoring and high level metrics for any processes on there but there's no deep level monitoring for DBs at the moment. Additionally I don't think you'd get the same data that came from the DB agent as that was more akin to a monitor where you had to create a db user and have it connect to pull those DB specific metrics.

There's nothing like the DB agent that was in AppMon at the moment but I'd open an Idea/RFE to see if it gets interest from others.

Hi James,

Thanks for clarifying. It's good to have visibility at the DB level.

Actually OneAgent gathers SQL metrics What is more we have on the roadmap Database Insights first for Oracle than for other databases.

Hi there,

I would like to know if this is being included already in Dynatrace managed. We're currently moving from AppMon to Managed and I don't see any visibility about SQL Server table space in the new version.

Thanks!

Is there any update for this topic?
