Performance impact and high number of custom services

Can I expect a significant performance impact for a Java application, if many custom services (hundreds) are defined for a process group?

There are temporary CPU spikes of course if changes are propagated immediately (this feature is turned off by default), but I'm asking for performance impact after those services are defined and processes are restarted.

I dont believe so, but this might be a really good question for Support and the Gurus of the process groups. Being that this is an old question, do you have the results of the performance impact? Did you run into any issues/limitations?
