Possibility to track tempdb usage on MSSQL databases

Is it possible to track tempdb usage on Microsoft SQL databases using Dynatrace SaaS? I dislike the idea of manually making checks using SQL statements. I rather have Dynatrace checking this for me.

Currently you can write your own custom plugin. On the long term RoadMap we have advance SQL insights which will cover this requirement.

That sounds good to have. I've often seen a full tempdb bring databases to a grinding halt. Something to flag this before/when it happens would be great!
