Is there a way to set a filter on an app like the Synthetic Monitor, either in classic or new UI, based on a tag, as an example, and generate a URL?
What I am trying to do is to provide a direct link to the Synthetic Monitor view from launchpads with a preset filter, so that when a user clicks on a link, they would get redirected to the app with preset filters instead of navigating to the page and then trying to set filters
Is this possible?

From what I know, on the Launchpad you can only assign a link to the Synthetic category where you have all your synthetic tests. However, you can use a Markdown tile on the dashboard and include links there with specific filters applied.

Hi @radek_jasinski , how do we actually apply filters to links to use in markdown?

You need to open a specific test, and the details are already included in the URL. Here is the link you should use:
https://.......dynatrace.com/ui/apps/dynatrace.synthetic/monitor/SYNTHETIC_TEST-347006363413D4E2?from=-1d%40d&to=%40d
When you open this URL, it will take you directly to the test with the predefined time range.

@radek_jasinski Yes, that would be for individual tests, what I am after is a URL that includes a filter based on tag, is this possible?

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible now.
You can rase a new product idea.
