Recommended mode for httpproxy.jar monitoring benefits

If someone has to monitor the httpproxy.jar host, what is the recommended monitoring mode?

What will be the benefits?

Hi, can you  add   more  details.   It can be anything written in Java by anyone. Is there a link to a public repository available?  Main  class?

In general, if it's a transparent proxy, there's no need to monitor it and in the PP\serviceflow will show "unknown proxy". If monitoring is required, use Java SDK.
