Set up alerting profile for non-existing metric

Guide

Hi community,

I'm trying to set up an alerting profile to monitor our Azure SQL Managed Instance availability, but it seems like there is no such metric in Dynatrace for that. Has anyone had experience on something like this? What would be a good workaround?

Appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Hi @hleon assuming you did everything correctly from the documentation here https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/azure-sql-managed-instance, and going through the already available metrics, I think you will have to create a formula to get the Availability and add it as a graph in the data explorer.  you can also follow this https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/azure-sql-managed-instance#view-service-metrics
