Hi,
I wonder how long timeseries data of requests marked as 'Key request' can be retained.
According to this page(https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/data-retention#timeseries-metrics) generally, retention period of timeseries data is defined as follows;
0-14 days
: 1-minute interval granularity available for dashboarding and API access.
14-28 Days
: 5-minute interval granularity available for dashboarding and API access.
28-400 days
: 1-hour interval ganularity available for dashboarding and API access.
400+ days
: 1-day interval granularity available for dashboarding and API access.
In addition to the above, this page(https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/key-requests#long-term-trend-data-for-key-requests) seems to say that the retention period of timeseries data of Key request is the same as the above even if we subscribe certain requests as 'Key request'.
I'm not sure but, I think actually retention period of 1-minute interval granularity would be longer than 14days.
(maybe 35day or more?)
Is it correct that the retention period of timeseries data of Key request is the same as that of requests which are NOT defined as Key request?

Kohei

Hi Kohei,
Timeseries data for Non-key requests is not available via the API. Only timeseries data for Services as a whole or for key requests are available via the API. Also, the 1 minute granularity for this data is only available for the first 14 days as you have above.
Hope This Helps

Hi @Ugochukwu N.,
thanks for your comment!
Oh OK, now I realized that I really misunderstood.
>Timeseries data for Non-key requests is not available via the API.
Yes, as you said, Non-key requests cannot have Timeseries data.
In this point, I understand that setting 'Key request' enables us not to extend original timeseries data but to retain it.
Thank you very much!

Kohei
