Hi,
I have a question, I hope you can help me. What happens in a SaaS installation when the nodes which have OneAgent installed does not have Internet access? In that case, does the Active Gate works like a Proxy and the agents ask for the new binaries to the Active Gate?
Thanks in advance.
Alberto.

Yes, the agent will also load it's updates via the Active Gate.

Hi Patrick, do you know if it is clear in the documentation? I am looking for it and I don't get it.
Thanks.

Hi Alberto,
The documentation state that the Activegate acts as a proxy between the OneAgent and the Dynatrace Cluster:
"ActiveGate works as a proxy between Dynatrace OneAgent and Dynatrace Cluster and can be installed on Windows or Linux. See ActiveGate hardware and system requirements. "
https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/setup-and-configuration/dynatrace-activegate/
Essentially, as long as the OneAgent is able to communicate with the ActiveGate, the update will go through.

Hi Shahhan,
I know what you mean but the documentation in not clear at this point. It does not say explicitly that agents without Internet access will be updated through Active Gate. It talks about a Proxy in a communications and bandwidth reduce context.
Alberto.
