My client is a very large PaaS user, and there are several limitations with the PaaS agent. Will the below ever be available (if so, are they planned?) for a PaaS agent monitoring? I understand this is not easy to do since the agent isn't on a physical host, but my client has expressed much interest in these use cases:
- Thread dumps
- Memory Dumps
- Log File Monitoring
- Microservice disk metrics
Any info on the above would be much appreciated!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Log analytics will be made possible for these PaaS platforms that support syslog forward of logs to external source. This will require LA premium (paid external log storage) to work. ETA is around Q2CY18
we are working on getting memory dumps for PaaS agents as well at the moment. thread dumps are planned as well and will work for PaaS agent.
Hi! is it possible to get EAP of thread dump or at least estimate release time??
Any update on thread dump feature release?
Same question as Vlad.
With AppMon, we can observe the blocking thread.
Alex.
Any news?
As far as I remember from Perform in Barcelona it should arrive on June
Any ETA on thread dumps?
hi @Alicia P. one week ago support has suggested me to use the Crash Diagnoser Site extension saying the Dump feature is planned in Future Release but they declined to provide me an ETA for the same.

i miss this feature!
Any ETA on thread dumps? This thread has been going on for upwards of 5yrs without any real update.
The situation for us, is there are hung threads that accumulate over time, and we want to be able to see where they are hung without having to ssh to the machine.
Thank you for considering this!
