Solved: Re: Word Map on new Dashboard

A client has requested that I create a tile in the new dashboard to display a world map showing all infrastructure, along with the related status of each service, process, and host in their respective regions. Currently, I’ve encountered a few challenges:

Background Images: I’m unable to place an image in the background of the tile.
Tile Placement: Tiles cannot be positioned freely as they snap into place.
Visualization Options: There is no word visualization available in the classic dashboard.

I understand that creating such a tile is complex, but the client needs an overview of the current state, with the ability to click on different regions to view details about each host, process, and service that are functioning correctly.

Is there a way to create something like this in the new dashboard?

Currently there is no option to create world map visualizations in the new dashboards. There has been mentions of them coming as seen in this post about the future state of dashboards/notebooks https://community.dynatrace.com/t5/Feedback-channel/%EF%B8%8F-Explorative-Analytics-roadmap-update-S... but nothing concrete about their functionality has been shown as far as I have seen.

Given the current capabilities my recommendation would be to create an overview dashboard showing the status of each region which has links to a drilldown dashboard pre filtered for the region selected. You don't have to use hex tiles but I imagine it'd be something like this where whatever visualization you have can be clicked on and a link to the drilldown dashboard is available.
