Resource consumption on host are process running and service calls happening in those process.

But if your question intend to that of what @pahofmann  have clarified than kindly clarify. Dynatrace instance will have resource utilization distributed but more will be network and the insight could be gather using self node monitoring. Disk is mostly used.
