Hello,
I’m wondering if a Cluster ActiveGate (CAG) is necessary. Here’s what we have set up so far, and I’d appreciate any advice.
We’re using SaaS services to monitor our internal user experience. Our setup includes Dynatrace Managed with Environment ActiveGates deployed, and beacon forwarders are enabled.
Since it’s a SaaS application, we plan to use the Agentless method
Thanks

If you're using Dynatrace Managed, and your internal users are accessing a SaaS application, with Agentless RUM, you can monitor it with an internal beacon endpoint. Beware that if you want to monitor external users at the same time, you will not be able to use this setup.

@AntonioSousa, I appreciate your comment. I have one last question to ensure I’m on the right track. I plan to place a few of the environment-active gates behind a load balancer and use that as the link to configure in the SaaS service. I understand that if we need to expand the service to an external environment, I would need to deploy Cluster ActiveGates.
Thanks
Raj

There is not much difference between cluster AG and environment AG when it comes to agentless RUM.
Keep in mind:
I'd go with Cluster AG (typically two or more instances), either balanced by a loadbalancer (depends on your pattern). Have this exposed for all the users (internal/external). Cluster AG is also required for synthetic tests from public locations.
