About Jira
- Most known issue tracking system.
- Globally used by development and operations teams for issue management.
- Automate the reporting functionality of the detected problems by Dynatrace within the monitored environment.
- Brings awesome advantages to DevOps team through managing issues, triggering workflows, and tracking code and production changes .
Compatibility:
- Supported: Jira REST API v2.
- Supported: API Token.
- Authentication password, and cookie-based authentication are no longer supported by Jira.
- Not Supported: Jira REST API v3.
Prerequisites:
- Communications should be allowed either between Dynatrace cluster nodes or ActiveGates and Jira endpoint URL.
On Dynatrace side
- The below highlighted parameters are mandatory.
- Display name can be customized as per preference.
- The remaining parameters are provided by Jira team: Jira endpoint URL, Username, and API Token.
- Both Project key, Issue Type can be created by the notification or provided by Jira team as well.
The below parameters can be customized as per the required payload contents
- Select the alerting profile, if not selected the default will be used automatically.
