Synthetic Monitoring - Ignoring or Excluding Specific Status Codes.

Peter_Youssef
Leader

Pros:

  • Excluding status code from 400 to 599 which may result in false positive alerts as the main frame document request returns any status code from 400 to 599.
  • Can be separated by comma "," for specifying multiple status codes.

It's configurable through:

  • The synthetic monitor settings page.

As a cluster admin or Dynatrace platform admin with the attached privileges you will be able to configure the required configurations. 2024-10-20_14h26_42.png

A great scenario for using this is when a page returns a 401 initially but then accepts the credentials set in the HTTP Authentication. In these cases, we need to ignore the 401 on the page to allow the script to respond to the challenge with the credentials. See Browser monitors: 401 failures on challenge-response pages
