Frequency and locations

Dear All,

While reading, the below bold statement is confusing me.

The frequency and number of locations determine the number of monitor executions per hour. For example, running a monitor from 3 locations every 15 minutes results in 12 executions per hour. Browser monitors are evenly spaced, running at 5-minute intervals.

Is this mean that the URL will be accessed every 5 minutes from 3 different locations?

What will happen, if we select 5 or 10 minutes frequency for 3 different locations?

Regards,

Babar

Hi @Babar_Qayyum

From our experience till now, if you pick 5 locations with frequency of 5 minutes you will get a check every minute from different location. Can guess that for 3 locations you will get a check every 1.66 minute each time from different location.

Hello @Yosi_Neuman

Thank you for your comments. So in this situation, the following statement should be correct that the URL will be accessed every 5 minutes from 3 different locations with 15 minutes frequency configurations.

Hi @Babar_Qayyum

Yep this is right.

You can see that after choosing 15 minutes time farm and 3 locations, then go all the way down to the bottom of the page and you will see the follows message:

Hello @Yosi_Neuman

Once again thank you for your prompt reply.

If we are referring to the 12 times per hour execution, then the 3 x 4 = 12 also makes 12 executions in an hour even if they simultaneously execute (15 x 4 = 60 minutes).

Babar
