Creating alerts with Pagerduty integration that include a Kubernetes label

I am experiencing an issue with the Dynatrace solution (im in SaaS mode). I am trying to create alerts with Pagerduty integration that include a Kubernetes label in the payload. For example, I want to include the DIC score of a system in order to apply rules in Pagerduty to properly route the alert to the correct team.

However, the Pagerduty payload only contains tags and not Kubernetes labels. Additionally, I am unable to automatically create tags from Kubernetes labels, and the value of the label is dynamic, meaning the DIC score can be 222, 333, 232, 233, etc.

Can you suggest a solution or workaround for this issue?

you are exactly right and that is a current limitation with Kubernetes tagging in general. I have added it as a RFE so please click the link and give it a up vote 🙂

For now, your only option is to create a rule with the entity selector. As a result, it will be a 1 to 1 relationship, so 1 rule for each tag value, so one for 222, once for 333, one for 232... etc..
